The Registered Owner must provide the following:

  1. Proof of ownership (registration or title)

  2. Proof of current insurance on vehicle

  3. Current and valid driver's license. If you do not have a valid license, then a person with a current and valid driver's license must accompany you to claim your vehicle

  4. Release fee of $100.00 Cash or Credit Card only.

Requesting a Copy of a Record

How do I request a copy of a Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office police record?

1. Open, print and fill out the Records Request Form

2. Either mail the completed form and payment to, or drop off the form at:

Are there any fees for obtaining a copy of a record?

Yes. Our current fee for a police report is:

  • $25 for the first 20 pages and $.35 per additional page.   

  • CD copy / Photo's $10.00 each.

Are all Records Releasable? 

No. There are exemptions from disclosure as outlined in ORS 192. Some examples of non-disclosure are cases currently in litigation or cases currently being investigated. Even if the records you request are releasable, there still may be some redaction to the records. Various redaction could include medical information, statements that constitute an invasion of personal privacy, little known techniques used by law enforcement, trade secrets, etc.

How Long Does it Take to Receive the Records I have Requested?

The records are processed in the order they are received. The timeliness of the records release will depend on staffing, volume and the size of the release you are requesting. Please allow up to two weeks for processing, especially if you have a time sensitive need for the record, such as a court date.

How do I report a crime or an incident?

Tillamook County 9-1-1 Service dispatches for all law enforcement agencies in Tillamook County, excluding Oregon State Police.


For Emergencies Dial 9-1-1 for all police, fire or ambulance.


For all other reports of non emergency crimes or incidents requesting officer/deputy response, dial (503) 815-1911. Tillamook County 9-1-1 Service dispatchers will dispatch the proper agency.

For NON EMERGENCY reports ONLY, you may also fill in the form and a Deputy will contact you.  Be advised the following is monitored during normal business hours only, response time may be up to 72 hours.


Please include the following information in the message.

  1. Full Name, Address and Phone Number

  2. Address where the crime occurred

  3. Date and Time the crime occurred

  4. Type of crime you are reporting
